My Commitment To You In Treating Depression & Anxiety...
When it comes to depression and anxiety, I am committed to providing a supportive and accepting environment where clients feel at ease and can focus on their personal growth. As such, I want to help you understand yourself as an individual and create therapeutic goals that will best compliment and challenge you.
Hello, I’m glad you’re here! Since beginning my career as a Behavioral Health Therapist, I have helped many who were feeling stuck or stagnant in life, or feeling anxious and depressed. I love working with people who are ready to try new things to heal or think about an issue in a new way. I enjoy problem-solving, challenging old ways of doing things, teaching new ways of thinking and being a true support in order to help someone move forward in life.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client Centered Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy to help people who are struggling with depression and anxiety in order to live more meaningful and satisfying lives.
During adolescence, I found psychology interesting and loved the subject and decided to attend the University of North Texas where I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. After college, even though I worked outside of the mental health industry for awhile, the calling to work in the field of psychology and help people never subsided. As such, I went on to earn my Master of Science degree in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University so I could finally pursue my passion of psychology and helping people.
I've spent many years working in the public mental health sector serving people with severe and persistent mental illness with diagnoses of bipolar disorder, depression, schizophrenia and addiction. I also spent valuable time working with Dallas' homeless population while working as a therapist at The Cottages at Hickory Crossing, the tiny house community in Dallas for the chronically homeless.
During my career I have been blessed to give back in many ways. I've given several speeches for The Altshuler Center for Education and Research for Metrocare Services in Dallas to raise awareness and funds for the Center in order to continue the education of doctors, therapists, and mental healthcare professionals training through Metrocare Services and the research studies conducted by these professionals.
Personally, I grew up in a big family. I’m the second oldest of seven children. I would say that’s some excellent training for diplomacy and communication. I’m now happily married and we have two beautiful daughters. I love to be outside and see how many flowers and plants I can keep alive. My dream is to have a plentiful vegetable garden that I can share with others. Also, I’m always up for a road trip or change of scenery.

Types of Therapy...
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders and severe mental illness.
Client Centered Therapy
Client-centered therapy is based on the belief that people will engage in activities leading to positive growth and development if given the opportunity. This belief is consistent with the PsyR value of optimism that everyone has the capacity to recover, learn, and grow.
Solutions Focused Therapy
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), also called Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) is future-focused, goal-directed, and focuses on solutions, rather than on the problems that brought clients to seek therapy.
IASIS MCN Micro Current Neurofeedback
IASIS Micro Current Neurofeedback (IASIS MCN), unlike traditional neurofeedback, only takes a limited number of sessions to produce fast results. The simplicity of treatments and ease of use when compared to traditional neurofeedback are also distinguishing factors. Without a conscious effort, IASIS MCN produces measurable change in brainwaves which allows the central nervous system to re-regulate and re-balance itself due to the much greater ability of the changed brainwave state.
Mission
Our mission is to create optimal brain performance for a range of neurological issues including but not limited to ADD/ADHD, Addiction, Anxiety, Autism, Chromic Fatigue Syndrome, Depression, Epilepsy, Fibromyalgia, Headaches, Insomnia, Lyme Disease, Memory Disorders, Migraines, Peak Performance (Career and Sports), Psychological Disorders, PTSD, Stroke and TBI.
Effective
IASIS’s experience shows that more than 85% of clients report positive changes in their condition in as few as three to five sessions with fewer side effects (with some reporting changes in one session).
Safe
The treatment is like rebooting a computer. It literally allows the brain and nervous system’s chemical imbalances to self-regulate. The nervous system recalibrates and stabilizes, giving the individual the actual, physical tools to be more resilient, responsive and grounded.
Conditions
Some Conditions Helped by IASIS MCN: ADD/ADHD, Addiction, Anxiety, Autism, Chromic Fatigue Syndrome, Depression, Epilepsy, Fibromyalgia, Headaches, Insomnia, Lyme Disease, Memory Disorders, Migraines, Psychological Disorders, PTSD, Stroke and TBI.
